Finally Nicer Weather for Ultimate

The weather in Iowa can be unpredictable at times. One would think at the end of April you could wear just a t-shirt and be comfortable. Unfortunately on this particular day it was not the case. On the upside Landen was looking for an excuse to try on his snowsuit.

Even though the weather does not always cooperate, it is the time of year when Mike and his friends spend way too many hours thinking about, talking about, and chasing about the 175 gram Ultimate disc. Here Landen supports his daddy with a huge smile and a hand on the frisbee. Landen has also told Mike that offense wins ties and yellow discs are for playing catch not real games.

Food

Landen recently turned 4 months. While this may not seem like a major milestone month it is the month he gets to start to eat food. Is it fitting that the Landen's first food is rice cereal?

Can you tell he is his father's son? Big bowl of food and a big smile to go with it.

No need for the ever popular "choo choo train" song for this guy.

Hopefully Landen picks up less messy eating habits from Julie, because if he follows Mike's example there may be many more pictures like this one.

Easter

Landen with his Easter basket.

Here Landen is pictured with his new hat and little toy monster that likes to say "bleah" Needless to say it has been one of Mike's favorite toys.

Here Landen rests between looking at all the things the Easter bunny brought at Grandma and Grandpa W's.

Landen is willing to bet you didn't even know they made Polaroid picture film anymore. At Sunday brunch Landen had a chance to visit with the bunny and pose for a picture.

March

Mike was out of town for much of March which was unfortunate since Landen had a big month.

Here Landen models the outfit that he wore for Easter. Landen is not used to having a real shirt on. (Side Note: Before Landen, Mike always wondered how babies kept their undershirts tucked in.)

Here is Landen sleeping in his souvenir shirt from NJ.

Landen wears a hat from where his Aunt Jenny works and mommy used to work.

Here is Landen practicing rolling over. Watch out he thinks he'll be mobile soon.

3 Month Pictures

Here are Landen’s professional pictures. While Landen decided that he did not want to smile for the camera we still think there are quite a few good ones. Our friend Adam, who recently started his own studio, was the photographer. You can see samples of more of Adam’s work here http://www.arogersphoto.com/

Landen decided to see how the backdrop tasted. The fact this is a new backdrop only slightly mitigated the new parent "please don't put that in your mouth" cringe.

Julie and Mike decided that Landen shouldn't have all the fun. Here Julie proves that she doesn't always blink in pictures like Grandma W.

Here Landen is in his second outfit. Mike and Landen decided to show their Hawkeye spirit. Unfortunately the younger Mr. C had a bit of a melt down, so outfit number three was not used.
