Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays, it is sometimes called the Lunar New Year. This is my second Chinese New Year, it is the year of the Ox. For Chinese New Year’s eve we celebrated having a dinner of hot pot with Grandma and Grandpa C.

Grandpa C and I show off our red shirts. Red is the traditional celebration color in Chinese culture.

Mommy and I are getting ready for the hot pot!

Grandma C, Grandpa C, and I pose for a picture. I told mommy and daddy that I could hold my own red envelope for safe keeping.

After some technical difficulty we got our family photo in.

Bye bye for now and have a Happy New Year!

Dinner with some Teacher Friends

The other day we had dinner at Amy's house. The whole 3rd grade team that mommy used to work with was there.

Here Carson and I are playing with his dad.

Jan brought some presents for us little guys to open. Thanks Jan!

Here we are with the teachers.

Some random moments..........

Here daddy and I are thinking about heading up the stairs.

I sometimes try to share my crackers with mommy.

One Saturday morning we had donuts for breakfast!

Uncle Rob and I are jamming out on the drums.

All that drumming made me tired. Luckily Aunt Jenny was there to rest on.

Over a month later and my balloon is still floating in the air.

Brownies.....well there is always next season.

Snow!!!

Here in Iowa we have been getting a bit of snow lately.

All the more reason to try on my new snow pants.

Here daddy and I rest in a snow drift.

Daddy helps me make a snow angel.

Looking at the end result the phrase "Practice makes perfect comes to mind". So next time I hope I won't have to tell you that it is a snow angel.

Dinner with friends

We had dinner out with our friends Joel, Nichole, and Holden.

Here I am giving Holden a high five for being in the first names that end with "en" club. His cousin Eden is another member.

Here is Holden with his family.

Here I am with Mommy and Daddy.

Christmas

Here is the tree with presents underneath. We had an early Christmas with Grandma W, Grandpa W, Aunt Jenny, and Uncle Rob since they would be in Ohio on the actual day.

Uncle Rob is giving me a push while I ride my clown car.

Aunt Jenny and I are supervising the cooking effort.

I actually like this Elmo shirt much more than it shows in this particular picture.

Christmas Eve, I thought I might read my Christmas book that has a whole bunch of flaps for me to open.

Here I am setting out some cookies and carrots for Santa and his reindeer.

Santa came and even left me a note!

More Presents!

Here I am with my new dump truck.

Grandma and Grandpa C came over later for dinner and exchanging of gifts.

Hey look a group picture where I'm smiling.

Remember, like Santa I got my eye on you.

Visiting with Santa

Mommy, Daddy, and I had a chance to go to a pancake breakfast that included a visit with Santa. The breakfast was yummy!

Here Mommy and I are waiting in line to visit Santa.

So much for "better not pout".

Mommy, do you think he will remember everything that I told him?

Mom's Birthday

Mom had her birthday shortly after mine. We had two parties, the first was at Grandma and Grandpa W's.

Here Grandma W and I are just cruisin around waiting for the opening of presents.

Here mom is showing off her new Brown's hat.

Grandpa W and I are watching intently.

These snowmen sing "Its cold outside" and dance.

We also had a chance to celebrate at Grandma and Grandpa C's.

Here Grandpa C and I are looking at a toy.

Here we are taking a group picture. The question I have to ask is. Do I have to smile every time we take a picture?

Here I am with mommy and daddy.

I'm ready for my close up now.

Look mommy I'm taller than you.

I can walk all by myself but I am humoring daddy.

Mommy and I.

Here I am with Cookie Monster.

Is this shoot almost over, my peeps are on the phone.
